Love

The source of love is from our Heavenly Father Yahweh Who "so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life", John 3:16. John declares that Yahweh is the source of all love, and also writes: He that loves not knows not Yahweh; for Yahweh is love, 1 John 4:8.

We are to love Yahweh with all our being above all other things. The Savior said, This is the first and great Commandment, Matthew 22:38.

“You shall love your neighbor as yourself” (Matt. 22:39). The Savior continued: On these two commandments hang all the Law and the prophets, Matthew 22:40.

Yahshua said, If you love Me, keep my Commandments, John 14:15. Love is indeed the fulfilling of the Law (Rom. 13:10). A dedicated love for Yahweh will allow His Spirit power to motivate and guide us in our daily lives. If we love Him, we will respect His Word and regard His Son’s sacrifice for our sins as something greatly treasured.

Here is what Paul said about love:
“Love is patient, love is kind. Love is not jealous, it does not brag, and it is not proud. Love is not rude, is not selfish, and does not become angry easily. Love does not remember wrongs done against it. Love is not happy with evil, but is happy with truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails. Three things will last forever: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love.” Love for Yahweh will generate a love for others; a disciplined life, doing good to all people, especially those in the Assembly (Galatians 6:10).
